Israel Kills 118 Palestinians in 24 Hours Amid Intensified Gaza Assault |
Gaza Strip — At least 118 Palestinians, including 12 civilians seeking humanitarian aid, have been killed and 581 others wounded in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
The latest wave of violence has drawn renewed international condemnation. Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, accused Israel of carrying out a “genocidal campaign” and called on all nations to impose a full arms embargo and sever trade and financial ties with the country.
Meanwhile, Hamas says it is currently reviewing a new ceasefire proposal. The statement follows remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump, who claimed that Israel has agreed to a 60-day truce aimed at pausing the conflict and facilitating humanitarian aid.
The humanitarian toll continues to climb. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israel’s ongoing war on the enclave has killed at least 57,130 people and injured 134,592 since the conflict began.
On the Israeli side, around 1,139 people were killed and over 200 taken captive during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023.
